802.15.4g mesh network is one of the prevailing trends for Smart Utility Networks (SUN). 802.15.4g nodes establish peer-to-peer communication and can expand coverage to wide urban and suburban areas. Due to the nature of the system, nodes may be receiving relatively weak signals from a distant node, while an adjacent node may be transmitting at high power in a close-by channel.

For reliable system operation in the field, transceivers need to have high blocker tolerance in the receive mode and low ACLR in the transmit mode, far exceeding the requirements of 802.15.4g standard. Systems may operation both in 2.4GHz band and in sub-GHz band, with sub-GHz providing longer range.
