Positioning Requirements

Modern tracking applications often require global coverage, fast time-to-first-fix, and resilient performance in obstructed environments such as urban canyons and warehouses. Multi-constellation GNSS reception and multi-band support significantly improve availability and accuracy under difficult conditions.

For battery-powered devices, the GNSS subsystem must balance acquisition time against energy consumption, often using intelligent duty-cycling and assisted GNSS modes. Cellular or LPWAN backhaul must likewise be optimized for infrequent, small payloads.

SaberTek Positioning IP

SaberTek GNSS IP covers single-band and multi-band receivers across L1, L2, and L5, supporting GPS, Glonass, Galileo, and Beidou. IP cores integrate RF front-ends, fractional-N synthesizers, and baseband-agnostic interfaces, allowing customers to pair them with proprietary or third-party digital positioning engines.
